My personalized “Exclusive” mani-pedi pampering at Jean-Claude Biguine- A True French Experience

A few days ago, I was invited to experience the first ever “Exclusive”  Deep Moisturizing Manicure and pedicure at the well known French salon Jean-Claude Biguine (JCB). JCB has 4 branches in Bangalore loacted at Kormangala, Lavelle road, Phoenix market city and Indiranagar and 8 branches in Mumbai.

Jean Claude Biguine is one of the world’s leading Hair and Beauty Salon Chains, headquartered in Paris, France. They offer head to toe beauty and grooming services, coupled with expert global products, all under one roof. Their top French stylists and aestheticians work closely with trained Indian beauty experts, to discover trends that perfectly complement our Indian patrons.

My experience:

I had a chance to visit the Kormangala branch where I was greeted with some lovely smiling faces. They proudly boast about their “exclusive” deep moisturizing manicure and pedicure services and asked me to try them. This was completely a new thing to me as previously my pedi-mani experiences were soaking my hands and feet in warm water and then the lady at the salon rigorously scraping the dead skin out(gross!!) . So let me tell you what this whole “exclusive” treatment is all about.

“All the gorgeousness of a manicure without any of the soaking! This is the exceptional dry manicure at Biguine.Collagen hydrates your hands from within and  keratin comes in to fortify your beautiful nails. Tea tree oil protects from any infections and finally Aloe vera  soothes and heals your hands in the gentlest way possible. What you are left with are stunning hands, without the soak!”

This beautiful soak free pedicure at Biguine brings you all the goodness of a pedicure without a soak! A healthy dose of collagen and glycerine  provide moisture and fortifying keratin ensures that your nails are strong as they are gorgeous. Tea tree oil brings in its natural anti bacterial benefits. And lastly Aloe vera and Allantoin ensure your feet stay hydrated for a very long time. Leave with soft light feet!”

So when they say exclusive, it is all done with no water used except for just cleaning your feet before starting the procedure. They have personalised kits for both manicure and pedicure which is opened right in front of you and everything from filer to the mask is disposed right in front of you; which means it’s the most HYGIENIC treatment ever you can find in the Indian market!!The two lovely ladies started filing and shaping my finger and toe nails and also used a wonderful device called the Peditrix that worked its magic on my feet and removed all the dead skin. There’s no need to worry about disinfected foot files with this method as it uses a foot massager with a rotating head onto which one can stick the sandpaper used in foot files  which is less messy and more hygienic. I was treated with some hot Green Tea and the whole process made me sink into the chair and relax to every tad bit. 🙂

Finally, the Pedikit and the Manikit was opened, which is a complete foot and hand mask infused with collagen to keep skin firm and smooth, tea tree oil, cuticle softeners, keratin to keep nails strong and aloe vera for a soothing effect. The mask was wrapped around my hands as well as feet and was supposed to be kept for 5-10 minutes. It smelled heavenly and she also cleaned the cuticles and nails during this time.

The final result was smooth and supple feet and hands. I felt like I had a baby’s hands and feet 😀 I got to choose some pretty nail paints from Cucio Nail Color Brand and it looked lovely on my newly done nails.  The higlight of the whole treatment was its exclusivity and hygiene and the fact that this is available only in JCB India and not anywhere else. Everything is right in front of you; from opening the kit to treating your delicate hands and feet to disposing everything for maintaining the hygiene. What more can you ask for !!!!!They use some of the best and natural sulphate-free products like Wella, Thalgo and Nioxin for haircare which I would be going back and trying for sure.

If you are looking for a clean, hygienic and relaxing spa experience and want to try out this “exclusive” treatment, then Jean-Claude Biguine Spa & Salon is your place to be at. I loved every bit of this experience and I’m sure you will love it too. You can checkout their WEBSITE and Facebook page to know about their services.

If you have been to JCB, do share your experience here with me in the comments below. Also follow me on Instagram and Facebook to get all the updates about my posts.

“MISS BOX” October Edition- New subscription box in town

Hi Everyone,

If you’ve read my previous blog posts, you must have read my article about various subscription boxes in India (HERE ). There are many more that have come up and doing extremely great and adding one more feather to this cap, we have a new subscription box names “MISS BOX“. They are pretty much new and offer an amazing deal on their boxes.

So when the team contacted me on Instagram, I was delighted to try out a new subscription box and they were sweet enough to reveal that they will be adding some personal touch to the box. So today I received this box and thought why not share my experience with you.

PRICE: INR 499. You will receive 3-4 products ranging from makeup and  accessories in the box along with a surprise product.

MY EXPERIENCE: So MISS BOX products come in a hard cardboard box that had a pearly finish to it which screamed “FESTIVAL” in all sorts of way. They have a themed box every month and this month’s theme was “MISS ETHNIC” and is totally apt for this festival season. I was a little disappointed that the box came damaged, thanks to the courier company that shipped it, but super glad that all the products inside was safe and intact. Everything was bubble wrapped and individually packed in a plastic cover.

Wish the box was not damaged by the courier company 😦

So these are the products that I received in the box :

Let’s have a look at each of these items and I’ll share my views about them.

  1. Statement Necklace: I absolutely loved the color of this jewelry piece. I am a huge fan of anything that’s in the color GREEN and the fact that I received my box with the theme of green was even better. This piece is just perfect to be paired with both Indian as well as Western outfit. You can even pair it up with a plain black top and a pair of jeans. IMG_20151021_193727627
  2. Earrings: My mom couldn’t stop talking about these peacock shaped earrings the whole day. I mean they are truly beautiful. I think they would go with any Indian outfit. So now I have one thing less to worry about what I should wear for this Diwali. 🙂 IMG_20151021_193834448
  3. Ring:  Though its a little big on my finger (thanks to my ever so thin fingers), I still find it pretty. I’ve passed it over to my mom since it fits her perfectly and would look good with so many of her sarees. IMG_20151021_193814691
  4. Lakme Eyeconic Kajal : No girl can get enough of having kohls or black kajal in her makeup box. I have already like 3 or 4 of them but somehow I didn’t mind having one more added to my box. Though I wish I had received a different colored kajal. :/ IMG_20151021_193652929
  5. Diya/ Earthen lamps: They are super pretty and the fact that instead of just one, they sent out two of these hand painted DIYAS is extremely sweet of them. They both are in different and vibrant colors and I’m definitely going to use this for the coming DIWALI. IMG_20151021_193922275
  6. Chocolates: So when they told me they would be adding a personal touch to the box, I wasn’t expecting these home-made dark chocolates. Though I won’t say they are the yummiest ones I’ve had so far, yet they taste good and I’m always up for chocolates no matter how they are. I received 4 of these chocolates wrapped in golden foil and thank fully they didn’t melt when I received them considering the horrible weather in Chennai. IMG_20151021_193709777

Apart from all these lovely products, there was also a hand-written note and somehow that just won my heart. I’m a sucker for such sweet gestures by anyone and even if it’s for a business purpose, it was extremely sweet of MISS BOX to be thoughtful to send it. All-in-all I really liked the efforts put in by MISS BOX seeing the fact that they are a newbie to the whole “subscription box army” and have done a wonderful job for just a small amount of Rs 499.

Also a disclaimer to you all, when you subscribe to them, you might not receive the same items as mine, some of the products might be a little different or maybe the entire box would be different. The idea is to give you a surprise when you receive these items. Currently they take orders only on Facebook and Instagram and hopefully they’ll be coming up with a website of their own.  I would highly suggest you to try out this month’s bag and see to yourself if you would want to subscribe for a long-term plan. I would link their pages below so that you can checkout their pages.

I hope you liked this review. I would be coming up with something different next week especially on a request that was made by a very good friend of mine. So watch out this space next week and do let me know what you think of the products that I got in this box. Would love to hear from you all.

StreetStyleStore.Com Haul and Review

Hi Everyone,

It’s been a while since I posted here. I was a little busy coping up with my CAT preps and then had to come back to Bangalore from home (homesick already 😦 ). Anyway that was off topic. So today I’ll be posting my first ever haul on the blog and along with a review about this website called that offers an amazing variety of footwear, bags and the newly added section for chic and sexy clothing as well.

I stumbled upon this website through an ad which I saw on Facebook I think a year back and noticed that they have some luring and interesting collection. There are different offers that are available on their website like 3 pairs for 999 INR, 2 pairs for 999INR etc and the designs are pretty cool and very different from those one come across on other websites or even in a store.

Though the first time I helped ordering 2 pairs of sandals for my best friend’s sisters at 999INR and he paid through card for it. The website says the shipping takes 7-21 days, but for our shock the sandals never arrived in the mentioned time. We even tried to find a number on their site to contact them and much to our surprise there was no contact number available. All we could do was just email them and no response from their end. After almost 1.5 months the footwear arrived and what I got to know from my friend was that they looked of a very cheap quality.

Well, so this time around a month back I visited their website and ordered 3 pairs for 999 INR and decided to choose cash-on-delivery instead of paying online to stay away from all the tension and headache which my friend had to go through. After around a month later when I almost forgot about my order my package arrived. The 3 pairs were stuffed in a cardboard box and the condition of the box didn’t look much appealing to me as well.

Lets get into this haul and I’ll also tell you what I feel about them as well!!!!

Here to staple:

The actual picture in the website looks like this

And this is how it looks in real. This one’s my favorite among all the 3 in the haul. It has a very bohemian look to it with all that tassels going on 🙂

Beyond Retro:

The picture on the website looks so pretty and elegant

And this what I received. I expected the straps to be rigid enough to stand straight, instead of it all over the place, falling haphazardly. 😦

Golden Grace:

What I received in the package. The sandals in the picture looked so awesome and unique, but it was a total bummer only because of the flimsy material of the strap and the soles looked very prone to easy wear and tear. Though love the color combo 😀

I really liked the unique designs of the 3 sandals but was very disappointed by the quality as the straps looked very fragile and delicate and I doubt it would last a long time if you do not take good care of it and end up getting stuck in the rain with these sandals. I have a very mixed impression about this website and when you visit their Facebook page, you will see many complaints about package not delivered to the customers and comments getting deleted from their pages if it is kind of negative for them. But I kind of liked the footwear as you shouldn’t expect a lot when you pay 300 rs for a sandal. It has to be made with materials worth that money. Except the delivery time and their lack of customer service, the only thing that draws me to their website is their unique designs and great offers.

  • Great and unique designs
  • Amazing deals and bargains

  • Horrible delivery time
  • Lack of product details on the website
  • No customer care number to contact

Here are a few tips to those who wish to purchase from SSS (

  • Always opt for cash on delivery and not pay online
  • Zoom in the pictures to find out about the material of the products as there’s no product details available
  • Have a lot of patience as the package will take almost a month to reach you most of the times

I had an okayish experience with and I will definitely want to checkout their awesome collection of bags and clothing section soon. If any of my sweet readers have ever ordered their bags or clothes do share your experience with me. Also do let me know if you found this haul interesting and if you would like to purchase any of these 3 footwear. All the links have been mentioned below the pictures to directly go to their website.

Have an awesome weekend my lovelies!!! 🙂
