How many of you like going to the movies all dressed up and a little presentable? I was definitely not one of those until recently when I felt like a sloth going to the movies to my neighbourhood movie hall and saw everyone all dressed up like I would do for attending a party! That’s when I decided to make some efforts rather than just wear my PJs or similar looking pants.
But here’s a thing, I go to watch movies to get entertained and be all comfy while eating my big tub of popcorn and soda and I’m not going to feel any better if I wear a dress or a skirt with a fancy crop top. Hence tights are my go to option for the movies or for mall outings these days. I literally live in my tights ever since I lost a bit of extra fat from my thunder thighs. The best part about tights are they are so versatile! You can pair them up with a crop top (if high waisted tights), a simple tee, skirt, shorts, kurtas and what not and that’s why I love them so much.
I recently went to watch the movie “Sully” and this was my outfit for the evening. Since it was a windy evening, I had to wear this pom-pom woolen cap to make sure my hair doesn’t go all cray-cray! The best part about this outfit is that it’s not only comfortable and chic (trying adding a scarf for that pop-up fashion statement), but also a perfect everyday fall outfit. I’m so happy to be back on track with blogging regularly. It feels super good to post everyday and today i’m back with an outfit post for you all. Few months back when I was invited for the launch of the “Signature collection” at Wills Lifestyle, I found such amazing varieties of silhouettes, that are perfect for the summers and exclusively designed by the well known designers of our country. There were a couple of pieces that really caught my attention and one such beautiful outfit was a Lime green coloured Kaftan styled Tunic which had a pretty “Bandhni” work on it. The fabric was light and soft to touch and I knew I had to pick it up for myself and style this for you all.
Since the colour looked so soothing to the eyes, I paired it up with a white pair of trousers that i’d recently bought from Unlimited Storesand wanted to go for an easy breezy college/shopping look, so wore my flip flops from Myntra and my fringe bag from New Look. I wanted to go for all summery shades and hence avoided any kind of dark colours for the look. The whole idea of sporting this look was keeping in mind a perfect shopping day with your girlfriends with no hassle of clothes sticking to your body or any such discomfort, yet look stylish and put together.
The hair was tied in a loose pony tail and the makeup was kept minimal in this look with only some compact powder, a nice shade of Chambor liquid lipstick and some eyeshadow. Summers are all about wearing comfy loose but not shabby clothes. You need to know how to dress well even in the most loose fitted clothes without looking like you just got out of the bed. If you own loose T-shirts or tunics, you can always cinch your wait with a belt and look presentable instead of looking way too casual. I own loads of oversized clothes and I usually tie them at the sides or use a belt to kind of make it look my size and it really does the trick.
I am absolutely in love with this colour and fabric and I would really recommend you all to checkout the Wills Lifestyle store for their new Signature collection. I have another post coming up which is all about dressing up for a party in comfortable clothes. So stay tuned for that and follow us on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and Snapchat@aishwaryamohan7 to know all about the upcoming posts, mini reviews and lots of randomness.
