Fit and Flare

Hola!!

I’ve been lately loving the seasonal transition and how I can experiment with different silhouettes and styles. I was going through my archives and I found pictures from one of my shoots that never went live here. I thought why not post it now, as the style is perfect for this weather. I’m talking about fit and flare dresses. They are also called A-line dresses and compliment usually all body types.

Fit and Flare

The best part about a fit and flare dress or a skirt is how it gives an illusion of an hourglass figure, something that most of us women dream about. No matter, what your body type is, a fit and flare will make you look like that goddess with the perfect body. Even if you have wide hips and thighs , wearing a fit and flare dress or a skirt makes the lower part of your body look just like a part of the outfit. Doesn’t that sound like a magical outfit! Well, it is indeed and getting the right type of a fit and flare dress/skirt is what you need to do. Here is the look, I’ve created with this beautiful dress I picked up from. store in Lavelle Road.

I prefer vintage looking flared dresses that has a structure and princess-cut flare to it  as they make you look elegant and chic. They are perfect for a date night or even to a friend’s wedding. If you are looking for something in the same style, but as an office wear, less flared out and slightly narrow towards the knees should be your pick. You can accentuate the look further, by adding a cropped jacket or a cardigan with scrappy sandals or pumps.

Love Yourself!

Hola,

In the recent years, I have added on some extra kilos and a lot of grey hair too and initially I hated my body and how it was changing but now I’m trying to make peace with it. I had to tell myself, that I’m a normal human being and change is just a part of my life. And I ain’t got millions to get surgeries done to make me look forever young 😛

From the past 2 years, I’ve been running away from bodycon dresses, skirts or anything that came anywhere close to my skin in the fear that people will call me fat. I was trying to body shame my own self but recently I decided to build some courage and get into this beautiful beige bodycon dress I recently bought from Topshop. And I’m so glad I did so because I frieking love bodycons now and will never ever stay away from them. Infact, I bought two more bodycon dresses after this shoot. 😀

Here are the pictures from that day; A perfect look for the Autumn with the least amount of efforts needed. Enjoy the pictures!!

This was a simple outfit idea that you can try for the coming Autumn. There’s not much efforts put here in dressing and that’s why I love dresses for t’s simplicity and effortless beauty. Always remember to love yourself because nobody can appreciate your flaws until you don’t do it yourself.
