Skincare regime that lets me get away with no makeup feat. Lemon & Beaker Product Review

The closer I’m getting to my 30s, the more I’m interested (read obsessed) in skincare and I’ve been so excited reading about ingredients behind any skincare product that I buy or come across.

At the beginning of this year, I volunteered to try out the products from a newly launched NZ skincare brand called Lemon & Beaker (Well! Isn’t that what a beauty blogger’s job is!!!). I was excited to try out a new skincare brand not only because it was all natural, but because it was also cruelty-free, vegan and packaged in glass which means recyclable! When I signed up for this, I had no idea what the products looked like, not even the packaging, or how good (or bad) it might perform on my skin, but having had a pleasant experience with other NZ-made brands, I had quite high hopes for this one. The other impressive point was the fact that the products were developed by a lady who had a Bachelors in Chemistry and knew what really worked etc.20190411_214823-01IMG_20190204_222044_482

After using each of these products for a good amount of time, I have noticed I can get away with no makeup at all most days because my skin is much clearer and brighter, plus the pores around my nose and cheeks have significantly reduced. Although I love putting on makeup, I prefer to not use it all the times because I get super lazy taking it off at the end of the day and I also feel daily use of makeup has never done anyone’s skin much good.

So after a lot of trial and testing of each of these products from Lemon & Beaker, here’s my review on them:

  • Foaming Deep Cleanser with Lemon Essential Oil- $36NZD:20190204_195113-01.jpeg

I absolutely love the fact that the product comes in a bottle with a pump which means that I can control the amount I need to use each time. The product has a gel-like consistency but becomes foamy when you apply it on wet skin. The fragrance is very citrusy and gives an ultimate pick-me-up feel. I feel that my skin feels very clean and bright every time I use it and this is the first step in my skincare routine both morning and night. I use one pump in the morning and two pumps at night to make sure my face is squeaky clean after a long day of being out in the sun, dirt and air-con. This is definitely my favourite product from the brand.

  • Hydrating Toner with Rose Essential Oil- $39NZD:20190204_195258-01

It has taken me quite a good amount of time to understand the importance of toner in a skincare routine, and now it’s a must for me both morning & night. This toner has rose essential oil in it and you need to shake well before putting it on a cotton pad and gently pat onto your skin. Sometimes I also just pour a small amount into my hand and pat it gently on to my skin with my hands if I don’t have cotton pads with me. I do quite like the product but I would have loved it even more if it came in a spray bottle that I could use to evenly spray it on to my face. Unlike many rose-based products, this toner smells like fresh roses which is a big win for me as I hate the smell of artificial rose fragrance.

  • Vitamin C Serum with Lemon Essential Oil- $46NZD:20190404_202016-01

So this has to be my second favourite product and I give a lot of it to how beautiful it looks in the packaging with lemon peel crystals in it. I use this serum in my morning routine and after toner, I take a small pump of this serum and apply it on to my face and neck. The product is instantly absorbed into my skin and has no sticky or oily feel to it. This is a great option for someone who’s got oily skin but is also very good for dry and combination skin types. Ever since I’ve been using this serum along with the other two that I’ll be talking about, I’ve seen a huge difference in some of my pigmentation around my mouth and how my skin naturally glows.

  • Dual-Blend Repairing Serum with Rose Essential Oil- $46NZD:20190404_201614-01-01

I use this serum in my night time routine only because it made my skin a bit oily due to the essential oil. But over the next few weeks, I’m going to start adding this in my morning skincare routine as it would be a great addition for that extra hydration in the colder and drier months coming our way in NZ. This serum is great to fight free radicals that causes sun damage and pigmentation on the skin. I would suggest this serum to those who have dry skin or someone who likes that natural glow on their face as it definitely isn’t suitable for someone who’s already got oily skin. You need to shake the bottle quickly first before using. I used this in the mornings when it was hot and humid here and I broke out a bit as I started to sweat and the oil and sweat together didn’t go that well. Trying this in summer when it’s so humid, this was probably my least favourite in the range but that is only because my face doesn’t deal with sweat that well.

  • Ageless Serum with Jasmine Essential Oil- $48NZD:IMG_20190404_210741_496

Again, I am a big fan of the beautiful packaging this serum has. Lavender is one of my favourite colours and the bottle just looks so pretty on my vanity. Like the name suggests, this serum fights signs of ageing thus reducing the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and improves elasticity of the skin. Like I mentioned earlier, in a couple of years I’ll be turning 30 and I realised this is a good time for me to start with anti-ageing skincare products and this is definitely going to stay in my skincare routine for a long time. The serum has a very mild jasmine smell which is great for someone like me who can’t deal with very strong fragrances. The serum is suitable for all skin types and I apply this along with the dual-blend serum in the night. Of course I can’t tell you if I have less fine lines now or not, but I can definitely say that my skin looks a lot healthier and I don’t know how much of that is because of these serums.

  • Brightening Cream with Rose Essential Oil- $42NZD:

The brightening cream is part of my day and night time skincare routine and I apply this a few seconds after the serum is completely absorbed in my skin.  The brightening cream I am now using and sold everywhere, is different to the first formula I received from Lemon & Beaker initially.  The brightening cream caters to all skin types but doesn’t feel as heavy and thick as the first one I used but equally moisturises the skin. One of the ingredients is Vitamin B3 which is great source for cell regeneration; in short it keeps your skin feeling youthful and fresh.

For the first brightening cream they sent me, I wasn’t initially the biggest fan of it during the day because I felt it to be too thick for me and and it made me sweat around my mouth (any thick cream would do the same thing to me). I blame this on the very hot humid days in NZ. But I noticed it worked wonders when I used it in the night because in the morning I woke up with the best skin ever (this was before I was sent the 3 serums). I did give the feedback to the brand and gladly they were already working on it and changed the formula. Since using the newly formulated brightening cream I have no complaints anymore.20190303_183750

So that was my review on the entire range of Lemon & Beaker skincare products that I’ve been using for a few months now. Using a single brand skincare routine for this entire time definitely helped to make a thorough decision about what I think and how it faired on my skin and I’m so glad I put my hand up to be one of the first to try out this newly launched brand.

If you’re looking for a natural skincare brand, I would highly recommend checking out Lemon & Beaker because it really does work! You can find these products on their website as well as Life Pharmacy and Unichem. I’ve never reviewed a whole lot of skincare products from just a single brand, but there is always a first time. If you find this kind of review useful, do let me know and I’ll do this more often

Do you have a one brand skincare or have you ever thought of trying one?

Disclaimer- Products were sent to me for trial. Like always, my reviews are honest & genuine

An Afternoon at Tiffany’s

Happy Holidays!!!

This has been quite an eventful year for me both personally and professionally. I’ve recently changed jobs and have been really enjoying my new work. I think change is so important in life to make sure you keep going and learn something new throughout. I don’t believe in New Year Resolutions, but I’m definitely looking forward to what’s in store for 2019.

Anyway, this post isn’t about my New Year plans but about my beautiful experience at Tiffany’s a few days back. I’d heard from my friend about the Tiffany Blue NYC taxi that was part of their Christmas promotions for this year and I knew I had to take a few pictures in front of it (well cliche’ me). I know a lot of you might be like ‘what’s so special about a taxi?’ , but as a blogger, I’m always looking for reasons to get some picture clicked. Haha! So I went along with my friend to not just click some pictures but to also experience the beautiful Christmas decor, the hospitality and some of their beautiful pieces.

I’ve also styled a few pieces that I own from Tiffany & Co. to get fully into the Tiffany vibe.

Hope you all enjoyed the Tiffany Christmas vibes through my pictures. I wish you all a Merry Christmas and safe New Year. I hope 2019 brings you prosperity and success to all of you. See you next year 🙂

2 ways to style a button down tie-front shirt featuring Postie

Hola,

Tie-front shirts are the perfect style for spring and summers. Tying up tops and shirts have been in fashion for ages now and thanks to this trend, a lot of brands now makes shirts and tops that have built-in ties just for the purpose of giving you that tie-front look.Tie-front shirts gives you the illusion of a smaller waist (who doesn’t like that!!)and more of an hourglass figure.

Wondering how to style them? Here are 2 flattering ways to style a tie-front shirt. I picked up this tie-front shirt from Postie for just $25 from their new collection. It is not only affordable but is also of great quality and is made of 100% cotton which is perfect for the coming Spring and Summer.

The Classic Look:

Since wide legged pants are back in fashion, I wanted to pair this shirt with my trusty pair of these black wide-legged trousers that I own since my teenage years(yes, I still fit into them.LOL). I love this look for the classic black and white combination with the extra bit of the tie up detailing of the shirt. Since this shirt from Postie has tiny embroidered detailing on it, the outfit doesn’t look plain and boring. I styled this outfit with a pair of heels from Cotton On as I always feel wide legged pants look great with heels or wedges.I’ve made a half up pony and kept the accessories pretty minimal and went with these silver earrings that I got from India recently to keep the entire look more classic yet super chic.

The Flirty Look:

For that perfect brunch look, you can go for a fitted pencil skirt along with a button down tie-front shirt. I’ve paired my floral pencil skirt from Portmans that I’d got from The Recycle Boutique a few months back along with my Postie shirt. To accessorise a bit and give it that flirty look, I wore this dainty necklace from Tiffanys and opened a few top buttons. By doing this, it gives an illusion of a longer torso and makes you look leaner. Since I’m pretty short, a more exposed neckline always makes me look leaner and taller.

I would totally recommend a tie-front button-down shirt in your wardrobe essentials. It is so versatile and can be styled in a so many other ways. You can also pair a plain tie-front shirt with a summer dress or with a flared skirt or just the classic way of wearing it with a pair of denims.

If you don’t know where to get your tie-front shirt from, checkout Postie’s new collection. They have so many different kinds of tie-fronts- from shirts to T-shirts to even tops and all at a remarkably affordable price.

Are you thinking of giving this style a try this summer? Let me know what you think of it.

This is not a sponsored post. I was given a voucher by the brand to shop from their store but this post is in no way biased towards the brand. All my views are absolutely honest and impartial.

All about the Postie SS18 Collection

Hi everyone,

A few weeks back I was invited for the official preview of the SS18 collection from Postie which is now available both in stores and on their website. I was so pleasantly surprised by the beautiful collection of clothes they had for not just grown ups but also for the little babies and kids at such affordable prices.

Postie SS18 Collection
Postie SS18 Collection- Some of my favourites for this summer

Their SS18 collection is inspired by the chic summer adventures and carefree fashion and is perfect for those who love to keep it stylish without a hole in their pocket. There is something for everyone- from those who love bright mustards and reds to those who like to keep it neutral yet chic.

Talking about the women’s wear, the collection has a lot of fresh prints from florals to forest prints. They’ve also included some really pretty linen-blend pieces and my favourite were the linen striped dresses which were just for $39 which is a steal for a good quality comfy dress which would be the perfect addition to my summer wardrobe. The collection also includes front-tie cotton shirts which would go so well with beach shorts, denims from just $15. I loved it so much that I picked up a piece for myself the very next week after the event!!

Postie SS18 Collection-Wide array of bright outfits
Postie SS18 Collection- Something for basic lovers
Postie SS18 Collection- Definitely getting this

The fact that Postie not only caters to fashion for grown ups but also for new borns, little girls & boys and big girls & boys. I think more than the women’s wear, I was so excited to see the kid’s collection. There is a huge variety of essential pieces for those who are looking for fashionable pieces for their little bubs starting just at $5. Isn’t that awesome!!! Not just that, there were a lot of boho pieces for your kids now and trust me, now all I want is a little girl to dress her up in all these must-have cute outfits. Haha!!

Postie SS18 Collection- Perfect for little ones for Christmas

Now don’t think that Postie has forgotten the little boys, as their new season has a strong essence of the New York street-style and has a lot of khakis, camos, blues and reds. Their jogger range is the cutest for little boys to big boys with some really cool graphic tees too.

Apart from these, the brand also has an array of pieces in their Disney range and it was a big hit among everyone at the event and I would totally recommend them to anyone who’s looking to dress up their kids in some cute yet affordable and good quality clothes.

Overall I’m glad I could experience the new collection first hand and in fact so impressed by the price and the variety that Postie has for the entire family. I’m so excited to style some of the pieces that I picked up at the store recently. They are super affordable yet stylish and I’m all about that great bargain!

What to wear to work when it’s cold AF| Part 1 ft. Reliance Footprints

Happy Sunday!

Deciding what to wear to work is itself a hard job, but when it comes to winter it gets all the more difficult. All most of us think about is to keep ourselves warm and reach out to the same sweater and warm pants.

Winters are associated with colours like blacks, greys and blues, but why would you want to just stick to these boring colours. The cold weather can be quite depressing in itself, especially in a city like Auckland where we have literally 6-8 months of just cold and wet days. I like to add some colour to my outfits and since half my life is now in office, I like to carry colour with me to work. Adding bold colours with your blacks and greys can be quite fun and you can easily sail through the horrible cold days.

In part 1 of this series, I’ll show you an outfit that can be carried from work to a brunch with your mates to even a casual meeting.

I’ve paired a pleated skirt with a bright orange high-neck sweater and to beat the wind, I’ve added a trench jacket/coat which I recently found during my op-shop visit. To give it an office look, I’ve added these black pair of pumps from Catwalk that my lovely friend picked from Reliance Footprints in Bangalore (Dola, you are amazing!). Together this makes a wonderful outfit for days when the sky is grey and all you want to do is curl up in your bed. The colours are definitely going to pick up your mood and make everyone around you as well happy and cheerful 🙂

Go for darker lip colours like plums and browns. Here I’ve used ‘Fragile Things’ from colourpop on my lips and the rest of the products are all from the ‘Flights of Fancy’ collection from Wet n Wild. I’ve recently posted a complete first impressions review on the collection and you can read about it here.

Outfit Details

Skirt: Koovs

Orange sweater: Myntra (borrowed from the lovely flatmate)

Trench Coat: Op-shopped

Black Pumps: Catwalk from Reliance Footwear

Don’t let your wardrobe suffer due to the weather- get experimental and play with colours to turn your boring winters to an enjoyable one.

The next outfit post would be for those who like to play it safe and have a bit more stricter corporate dress codes at work. Stay tuned for it! Are you someone who loves a colourful outfit during the colder months? Let me know all about it in the comments section below.

Till then stay awesome 🙂

Wet n Wild- Flights of Fancy Collection| First Impression

Hola,

Wet n Wild has always been a favourite brand of mine. Their products are super affordable yet the brand has never given away on their quality and pigmentation and they are cruelty-free too! From college goers to working professionals, the brand has something for everyone without really having to burn our wallets.

Recently, I was sent this beautiful PR box filled with products from the Wet n wild ‘Flights of Fancy’ collection. The collection is inspired by the Allen’s and Costa hummingbirds and was all things bright and colourful (definitely needed it during this grey and gloomy winter here in NZ). I’m still trying out all these products, but I thought I would give my first impressions on all of these products, since I’ve made my hands dirty with these beauties a couple of times already. Tehehee

Coloricon Baked Blush:

I was blown away by how gorgeous they looked in this revamped packaging.  They came in two shades- one a pink peachy (Don’t filter yourself) one and the other more of a warm golden(Hummingbird hype) tone. They are definitely going to be my go-to during the bright summer days. But for now I would be using them more as a highlight and Hummingbird Hype is my favourite among the two.

Price: NZD $12.99

Coloricon Eyeshadow Quads:

There were three different quads in the collection (from L to R)-

  • ‘Hasta La Costa’- This palette is perfect for those who love playing with colours. The green shade is my favourite and I’m planning to do a peacock look with this baby.
  • ‘Stop ruffling my feathers’- I would say this is for those who like to play it safe. The palette has a mix of neutrals but with an added touch of shimmer to take your look from day to night without much effort.
  • ‘Flock Party’- I would say this is in between playing fun and playing safe. Love the cranberry shade in this and infact I used this to create a look which you can see at the end of the post.

The brand is the best when it comes to eyeshadows and you can see the same with these three palettes. They are super pigmented and stay on your eyelids for a good amount of time even without an eye primer.

Price: NZD $6.99

So pigmented even after 4 swipes

Coloricon Lip Gloss:

I would be lying if I say I love wearing lip gloss. I’ve always ran away from donning a lipgloss only because I have this annoying habit of licking my lips and this would mean that I would eat off my lip gloss, which would in turn mean I would have to keep reapplying the gloss.

But when I saw the beautiful red shade in this collection, I was tempted to try it out. The floral packaging on the lid was all the more alluring. Sadly two of the shades were not something that would suit my skin tone, I swatched the red shade which is called ‘Love Bird Affair’. The pigmentation is so so good and it gives you that gorgeous plumped up lips look. You don’t always need a cosmetic surgeon for those Kardashian lips!!

Price: NZD $8.99

The last three products were the most interesting one to me.

  • Photofocus Primer Water Spray: I’ve never ever tried a primer in a spray bottle, hence the excitement. When you spray the product, the mist evenly distributes onto your skin and get absorbed fast enough to give you that perfect smooth skin to apply your foundation. It smells good and doesn’t tingle or irritate your skin. I’m so hooked onto this one.      Price: NZD $12.99

  • Perfectpout Lip Scrub: This one tastes so goooooood!!!! It smells like watermelon as soon as you open the lid and tastes so good that you would actually feel like eating. It not only smells good but also helped in taking off the dry flaky skin on my lips. This scrub has now become an everyday part of my night time skincare and I’m definitely repurchasing this. Price: NZD $8.99

  • P72 makeup brush: I’ve heard such great reviews about the Wet n Wild brushes and when I saw this pretty brush in the box, I was damn excited. Apparently these purple brushes are part of their limited edition and are super soft. I’ve used to apply my brush and it did a wonderful job. Price: NZD $16.99

Here’s the look I created with the products from this collection.

In Natural lighting

In artificial lighting

The best part is yet to come! All the Wet n wild products are now available at Farmer’s in New Zealand. You can either find them at selected stores or online on their website. Isn’t that a great news! You don’t have to now wait for your mates to get your these beauties from overseas. If you are looking to buy any of the products mentioned in this post, go ahead and buy it on the Farmer’s website. The entire collection is available just for $79.99 which is a great deal.

My recommendations would be the eyeshadows (super pigmented at a great price),Baked blush (hummingbird hype), the lip scrub(great for chapped and dry lips) and the makeup brush (amazing quality and super soft).

What do you think of Wet n Wild products? Have you tried anything from this collection? Which one are you most excited about? Tell me all about it in the comments.

My Halloween Look- Desi Rani (Inspired by Shweta VJ)

Hola,

Happy Halloween to everybody! 2014 was the first ever time I celebrated Halloween and dressed up for it and ever since then, I’ve always enjoyed the idea of dressing up. For me Halloween is not just about looking scary, its about creating your own version of your favourite characters.

A few days ago I came across a Pop Art Halloween look created by the YouTuber Shweta VJ. It was not only different and unique but also super easy to create and today I decided to recreate the same look with whatever minimum makeup I had in my kit. I’m not sure if Shweta will ever come across my blog, but I hope I make her proud 😀

So here’s my two versions of Desi Rani-The Pop Art Version!!!!

I’ve tried to play around with yellow lighting here just to give a better pixelated effect. Definitely not the perfect recreation, but I think for an amateur like me, I’m pretty happy with how it turned out. I wish I had more Indian jewellery to accessorise though. Here’s a picture in white light with no editing

My New Found Love- Miri Skincare Balm Review

Hello Everyone,

Where have I been all this while??? Well! I was trying to blend in a new country, around new people and culture. It took me  more than a year to discover myself here. Trust me it isn’t easy and not what it looks from the outside. Long story short, I’m back and trying to get back into what I love the most-sharing my experiences with you lovely people 🙂

I’ve been trying out a lot of new skincare and makeup ranges exclusively made in New Zealand and recently came across ‘Miri Skincare’ on Instagram. I was so mesmerised by its pretty green packaging, that I had to have one in my skincare kit. The team at Bare PR and Miri Skincare was kind enough to send me a sample to test out and I have all things good to say about this multi-purpose balm.

Miri Skincare Balm

But before that, here’s a small introduction about the brand- When Miri’s founder Paul Jarvis saw his wife and her friends extensively using a popular Aussie brand’s multi-purpose balm which had petrochemicals in it, he knew he had to make something that was New Zealand made and had no nasty ingredients in it. NZ is well-known around the world for its kiwifruits and Manuka honey and that’s what Paul Jarvis wanted to include in his product for its exceptional properties, and that was the birth of the Miri Balm. Miri is a Maori word that means ‘to rub, smear or smoothe’.

Ingredients: With no nasty ingredients, Miri balm mainly consists of kiwifruit seed oil and Manuka honey with Omega 3 and is completely paraben and SLS free. Find the ingredients list in the below picture-

Miri Skincare Balm- Ingredient List

How to use: This magical balm can be a life-saviour in all seasons for various skin-related issues. It can be used for issues like chapped lips, dry hands, rashes, burns or insect bites.

Miri Skincare Balm

My experience:

The tube is a perfect size for your handbag and I’ve been carrying this balm in my bag everyday to work. I’ve super dry and chapped lips all year around and this is kind of a staple for me everyday in the morning. I use a tiny amount on my lips before applying my matte lipsticks and this ensures that the lipsticks don’t crack and also keeps my lips hydrated.

Miri Skincare Balm
Miri Skincare Balm- The Texture
Left Hand- After applying the balm
Right Hand- Without the balm

The balm has helped my cuticles to heal to a large extent. I rub a small amount on my cuticles and massage it for a minute so that the product is completely absorbed. They are also an amazing solution to cracked heels due to its antiseptic property.

I was a bit skeptical about it being oily, but honestly the product is non-sticky. It gives a nice shine to the skin and completely gets rid of dryness. The absorption takes a few minutes, but you would not feel the need of constantly moisturising your skin after using the balm.

Overall, I find this product great and I feel having an all-purpose product is superb when you’re travelling or going to work as you can refrain yourself from carrying bulky skincare kits everywhere.Due to the absence of many preservatives, it’s recommended to shake the tube well before using to so that the ingredients can mix well together.

I would totally recommend this product to everyone and to all my Non-NZ readers, this is currently available only in NZ pharmacies at RRP $12.99. I hope Miri Skincare starts selling internationally, so that the world can experience this tiny tube of goodness.

Have you tried Miri? Which is your favourite all-purpose balm? Let me know your thoughts in the comments section below.

Creating my own handbag with Toteteca

Hello everyone,

I was going through my archives, and found some pictures a few months back which I didn’t quite like it and chucked the idea of posting them. But now the reason for this post is only because I want to talk about this amazing brand called TOTETECA, who specialises in personally curated handbags. Yes! You heard it right, this online website makes that makes customised bags as per your needs. And when talking about customised bags, how many times have you found yourself in a situation, where you see another girl carrying the exact same handbag like yours in a party and all you wondered was wish, you had something that no one could ever own. Well, that’s exactly what Toteteca will take care of!

About Toteteca

Toteteca is a combination of two words, tote and teca. Tote is a type of handbag and teca literally means library in Latin.
Their goal is to create a ” bag library ” of sorts where people can select bags in any color and combination to create a bag that is truly unique.

On the Website:

Here is the demo video that explains the entire process from choosing your design and colour, to the payment and shipping process http://www.toteteca.com/demo.php. This will tell you exactly how you can get yourself a customised bag of your choice.

  • There is an exciting array of handbags available on the website from totes to suitcase bags, they have it all and  are designed to meet Casual as well as Formal needs.
  • Each of these bags gives you an option to customise in terms of the base colour of the bag, colour of the metal/hardware used, colour of the inside lining, type and metal of monogram.
  • The awesomest part is the MONOGRAM with the initials of your choice. That means, instead of flaunting a brand’s name on your bag, the bag will have your very own initials or maybe something else that you want on it!S
  • The other best part about Toteteca is, they only use FAUX LEATHER in making these bags, but the quality of the faux leather is of high durability which feels great to touch too.
  •  They ship not only to India, but INTERNATIONALLY too! The shipping to anywhere in India is FREE of cost. They have bags to customise from 20USD to 100USD, which is definitely not too much, given the fact that you get to customise your own handbag. This is definitely a website to try out if you are a handbag lover or hoarder like me 😀

My Experience:

Coming back to what I customised for myself, it’s a cranberry coloured bag with gun metal coloured trims. Given the fact that I literally carry my whole world in my bag, I wanted something that was big, yet looked great to carry with most of my outfits. It came with it’s own small coin such bag, which was so nice to have. The bag was shipped to me in a huge dust bag, which was really thoughtful of the Toteteca guys. This is a spacious and a sturdy looking handbag and has been doing great even after months of using it together. You can checkout the pictures to see how the bag looks like and how I’ve styled it with my wide-legged denims.

Goodbye 2016, Hello 2017!

Hola,

A very happy new year to everyone who’s been a constant support to me and spare their time to visit this sweet little place of mine. It’s 2017- a year of new beginnings, new adventures and new people. 2016 were filled with loads of emotions; from being super happy to being almost depressed, it was definitely a roller coaster ride. But, I think that’s what makes you a stronger person. Right!

Some of the best things in my life happened in 2016, from collaborating with well-known brands and building a relationship with awesome PR companies to getting enrolled in one of the renowned universities in the world, I think it was all worth the struggle and hardships. I learnt so much about blogging in 2016 and made some really amazing blogger friends. I never really had much of girl friends and through blogging, I met some highly talented bloggers whose guidance and help have been one of the factors for the growth of That Trip-e Urban Life. the blog that was started with just me, now has so many lovely people associated with it and who has constantly helped me with covering events, contributing good reading substance and not to forget lots of love and appreciation.New year 2017

I lost my baby dog Pluto in 2016 and this was one of those moments where I didn’t know how to show my feelings. There’s not many people who understand the grief of losing a pet. Even more hurtful was the fact that I was miles away from him and couldn’t even bid my final goodbye to him. But I know he’s in a happy doggie place and watching us all. dsc_2030dsc_2075

I’m have high hopes from 2017 and expecting some positive results both professionally and personally. I want to get my masters degree real soon and work towards my dream job. Blogging is definitely my first love, but I’m not yet ready to give up everything and go back to full time blogging for many personal reasons. Well, we can discuss all about that maybe in a different post when the time comes. I’ve not really paid attention to my health in 2016, and will try to be healthier this year and start an exercise regime. I am aiming for a certain body goal this year and for that I need to stop my coffee obsession, which is really difficult for a person like me who’s been living on coffee day and night. LOL! But hell yeah! You gotta do what you gotta do, and that’s why coffee and a lot of other really horrible things needs to be kicked out of my life real soon.New year 2017
